Arpan has been working in the field of alternate education since 2010 and so far the journey has been a memorable one. Every day, we try our best to make learning more fun as well as a powerful tool for behavior change and Life Skills training with children within the age group of 7-17 years, belonging to disadvantaged background like urban slums, shelter home and special needs. We are making use of performing and visual arts such as- story telling, theater, painting and wall painting in providing constructive play activities. The dual aim of our programs is to mobilizing the youth and placing them as positive role models to our direct beneficiaries.
In short, we have a tri-pronged approach to meet our goals; Starting with life skills training for children in the slums and children with special needs. This is combined with social and environmental sensitization with school children, all of it is topped with active youth mobilization and maximum participation to bring forth best possible results.
